Dr. Alanoud Alsharekh is a consultant, researcher and activist in socio-political and cultural issues. She made researches on demographics in the GCC countries as a Visiting Fellow at the London Middle East Institute and the SOAS. She is a research fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and worked as a political advisor to the United Nations Development Fund, Freedom House, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), on academic and social awareness projects in Kuwait and the GCC countries. Dr. Alanoud is the first Kuwaiti woman to receive the French National Order of Merit for defending women's rights. She is one of the founders of the campaign to abolish Article No. 153, calling for combating honor crimes in Kuwait, as well as the director of the "Caring Friends" campaign, concerned with communicating with girls in the foster care, and the Ethar Volunteering Team, interested in halting violence against women and protecting the family.
Abdullah Al Rashidi is one of the most prominent Kuwaiti shooters. He has participated in six Olympic Games: Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016. He won the bronze medal in his sixth participation in the Rio Olympic 2016, however, Al Rashidi participated as an independent athlete under the Olympic flag due to the suspension that was imposed on Kuwaiti sports at the time. Kuwaiti skeet shooting champion, Abdullah Al-Rashidi, won also the bronze medal in the shooting competition in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The 58-year-old shooter was able to dedicate his country, Kuwait, its first medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Ahmed Al Mutairi is a Kuwaiti Paralympic athlete, Toyota World Team athlete, and world record holder. He won a silver medal in the T33 classification and the 100m wheelchair race at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. He also won the gold medal at the Rio Olympics 2016 and the silver medal in 2019 World Championship.
We all remember the sweetness of Hoda Hussein’s purposeful theatrical works for children in the eighties, such as "The Jackal" ((الواوي, "Al-Shawi Daughters" ((بنات الشاوي, "The Sun" (شمس الشموس) and "The Gang ((العصابة. Hoda Hussein is one of the founders of the Children’s Theater in the Arab world, and she is known for her works directed at children and considered one of the most prominent artists in the Gulf. She made television and theatre works and has participated since the eighties in many television works, including: "Sometimes, Love is not Enough" (الحب لا يكفي أحياناً), "The Sun Rises Twice" (الشمس تشرق مرتين), "Omaima in the Orphanage" ((أميمة في دار الايتام, "Family Over a Hot Brick-oven" (عائلة تحت تنور ساخن). Hoda Hussein participated in many operettas with Abdel Karim Abdel Qader, Nabil Shuail, Nawal and others, released two albums for children in the eighties with the singer Abdel Karim Abdel Qader, and presented many national and sports songs.
Abdullah Boushahri is a Kuwaiti producer and director who holds a BA in Film Industry from Florida Atlantic University. During that period, he made two movies; "Kuwaiti Hero" ((بطل كويتي, and then "Losing Ahmed" ((فقدان أحمد that won the Best Gulf Documentary Film Award in 2007 and was shown in 30 international festivals around the world. In 2008, Boushahri won the "British Council" award for his cinematic achievements. He became famous for his latest work, "Mohammed Ali Road", which Netflix chose to show its first season, in confirmation of the methodology that Abdullah Boushahri has been using in presenting high-level television drama productions, befitting the state of Kuwait and its great creators in various artistic sectors and consolidating the position reached by the Kuwaiti and Gulf drama industry.
With no less than 29 years of experience in the financial services and real estate sectors, Muhammad Jassim Al Marzouk has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Tamdeen Group” since 2015. Through his vision, Al Marzouk was able to restructure the group with the aim of completing the implementation of ambitious projects in Kuwait with a total cost of two billion dollars. In 2010, Kuwaiti designer, Sharifa Al Ghanim, launched her brand "Hamsa" with designs that combine Gulf and Arab heritage with modern touches. Bazza Al Zouman made her first big step in a short time. Sheikha Hussa Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah is one of the most important pillars on which Islamic antiquities are based in the State of Kuwait, holding the position of the Director General of Dar Al Athar Al Islamiyyah in Kuwait. Sheikha Hussa has made many distinguished efforts for protecting Islamic antiquities in the State of Kuwait. She has a membership in many important museums around the world, as she is a member of the Board of Trustees of the "Museum of Fine Arts" in Houston, USA, since 2019 and the "Metropolitan Museum of Art" in New York. She is also a member of the “Friends of Museums” organization in Mexico, the “Academy of Art and Design” at the University of Florence, Italy, and the Islamic Committee for the Preservation of Islamic Heritage in Riyadh. Sheikha Hussa won the "Issam Fares Award for Excellence" from the Middle East Institute in Washington in 2017.
Sheikha Magda deserve to be called the positivity ambassador, the survivor, and the iron woman who shall never be broken, discouraged or frustrated. Being a beauty entrepreneur since 2007 and a mental health activist, Sheikha Magda's humanitarian and social engagements have become very prominent with the spread of the covid-19 crisis, with a noble goal to break the barrier of dealing with mental illness as a stigma in the Middle East. Sheikha Magda launched ASAP Initiative, a special campaign funded by the ASAP Beauty brand which she co-founded, to raise awareness of mental illness, fund local, regional and international initiatives, raise awareness of mental health, and destigmatize mental health in the region.
Sheikha Fadyah is one of the Kuwaiti women who have had a profound impact on Kuwaiti society, especially with regard to women’s movements and activism in Kuwait. She is the Head of the Kuwaiti Federation of Women's Associations. Through her efforts in the field of volunteerism and community development, Sheikha Fadyah was able to enhance the role of women and their empowerment, and to spread the culture of volunteer work at the local and regional levels. She established the Al Saad Foundation for Knowledge and Scientific Research in the State of Kuwait in dedication of the legacy of the late Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Saad Abdullah Al Sabah. The Foundation aims to participate in advancing the human development process and enhancing the empowerment of women in society by providing consultations, studies and training, as well as preparing and organizing conferences and seminars in education and sustainable development. The Foundation also adopts distinguished scientific projects, assists in creating projects with scientific returns and markets scientific innovations inside and outside the State of Kuwait.

Dr. Fatima Al Awadi is a consultant in developmental pediatrics and an expert in mental training programs for children with learning disabilities and special needs. She holds a medical degree from Kuwait University, a diploma in pediatrics from the University of Ireland, and a subspecialty in developmental medicine and disability from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Dr. Fatima Al Awadi has attended several conferences and worked with the Higher Council for the Disabled. Kuwaiti businessman Mohammed Abdul Aziz Al Shaya has become a prominent name in the business and financial sector, as he is the CEO of the Alshaya group of companies, a leading widespread group in the field of retail clothing, real estate, construction, hotels, IT and advertising that became the largest and widest trading business in the Gulf and Arab countries. Sheikha Bibi Nasser Al Sabah is the Chairwoman of the United Real Estate Company in Kuwait. She is also the founder and chairwoman of the Kuwaiti Social Work Society since 2005, concerned with the rights of expatriate manpower and the vulnerable, as well as a member of the "Munjiza" initiative launched by the Kuwait Projects Company (Holding) (KIPCO) for promoting and empowering women and establishing partnerships for future cooperation. The Jet Skis World No. 1 Kuwaiti Champion Youssef Al Abdulrazzaq has many sporting achievements at the local and international levels. His professional sports career spanned more than 13 years, during which he made many global achievements and crowns with merit and aptitude, competing senior professionals worldwide and brightening the name of Kuwait in major regional and international competitions. Dr. Ahmed Nabil is a social media star and a physician who obtained four patents for different innovations. The Kuwaiti physician has been accepted into the National College of London to complete his MSc in Surgical Innovations. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate with honors in Principles of Surgery, Surgical Education, Surgical Imaging, Minor Surgical Intervention, Patient Safety and Service Quality. He also completed a Postgraduate Diploma with honors in Obesity and Metabolic Surgery.
Kuwaiti researcher Khadija Al Rifai, who is also a student at the Royal Irish College of Surgeons, won the sixth edition of the Nasser bin Hamad International Youth Creativity Award of 2021, in the field of scientific creativity, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Bahrain. She also won the Platinum Award for Female Inventors in 2020 for her invention related to the development of a new technology for imaging dynamic changes in DNA in a living cell. She spent about one year and a half in the laboratory of the Institute of Biological Sciences at the University of Queensland in order to prepare this invention that will revolutionize the field of precision medicine to overcome the challenges facing the world in finding radical treatments for several diseases. Al Rifai has many achievements and innovations for which she won many international awards, brightening the name of Kuwait in the scientific field.
Najla Aljeraiwi has many notable achievements as triathlete, as she won the gold medal in the Sierra Nevada Triathlon, one of the most important triathlons in the world. She also won the silver medal for the Arab competitors in the Triathlon African Confederation Cup held in Sharm El-Sheikh. She is the first Arab representative in the seventeenth Asian Games in South Korea as well as the first representative of the GCC countries in the World Road Championships. Aljeraiwi was also the runner-up in the African and Arab Triathlon Championships, the GCC Triathlon Championship, and many prestigious local and regional championships.
Dr. Fatima Al Thalab is a pediatrician and inventor who brightened the name of Kuwait in international forums. She holds a PhD in 2D medical engineering and has invented a special baby bottle for children with a cleft lip. She participated in the exhibition of the World Invention Conference in 2006 with the support of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, and won the largest and greatest award in addition to the gold medal and two certificates from an intellectual property international organization for inventing the special feeding bottle. This is the first time that Kuwait has such an achievement, and thanks to Dr. Fatima for being the first Kuwaiti female doctor to invent a medical device and obtain a patent.
Hanadi Al Omani is the first woman to work in advocacy, not only in Kuwait, but also in the Middle East. She is the chairwoman of the Special Needs Committee in the Kuwait Bar Association. Al Omani proved herself and was able to work in advocacy despite facing many obstacles, as the Bar Association initially refused to accept her. She applied for training in several law firms, but her blindness gained her refusal, until she was accepted at Hussein bin Shaybah's law firm where she pleaded and won her first case, which was personal status. In addition to many other awards, Hanadi has won "Diamond Award for People with Special Needs" twice, which is organized by (Khair Projects Foundation) the charitable wing of the Kuwait Projects Group Holding. In sport, Hanadi has also won many awards and medals including the gold medal in Athletics Competitions in Britain, and achieved first places in blind tennis in several tournaments and third place in the walking race organized by the National Bank in the State of Kuwait. Furthermore, she achieved the third place in the annual Al-Kharafi competition for memorizing the Holy Quran.
Wafaa Al Qatami is the first Kuwaiti woman to be a treasury director and acting general manager in the banking system, and the first woman to win membership in the Chamber's Board of Directors since 1959. Starting from the real estate bank in 1974, she has gained more than thirty-five years of experience in the economic field. A graduate of political and administrative sciences from the American University of Beirut, her economic career was not limited to the banking sector, as she was a board member of the Kuwait Clearing Company, a member of the International Financial Consulting Company and the chairperson of the Kuwait Financial Group for many years. She won the "Arab Woman" award for Finance in 2015, and Forbes Middle East Magazine enlisted her among the Top 46 powerful Arab women in family businesses of 2014.
A partner in Ernst & Young Kuwait, Sheikha Al-Fulaij currently leads EY's Women Fast Forward initiative in the MENA, which aims to accelerate the achievement of gender parity in the world. She also launched the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women Program in the MENA. With over 15 years of experience in auditing, accounting and related advisory services, Sheikha has led numerous projects for high profile clients primarily in financial services, and also in the real estate, logistics, consumer products and retail fields in the government, public and private sectors. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States and a licensed and certified auditor in Kuwait. She graduated from Babson College in Boston, United States.
Culinary Development Specialist and Chef Anfal Al Rakhis won the first place and had the gold medal in the HORECA race in Kuwait. The HORECA exhibition is known for exchanging expertise and experiences between major local and international companies in the food, beverage and hospitality industry, in addition to launching competitions between chefs under the supervision of an international jury. With more than 7 years of experience in the field of cooking in international hotel kitchens and developing restaurant menus in Kuwait, chef Anfal recently collaborated with the Elevation Burger restaurants by creating the Truffle Berry burger, which caused a stir and a huge turnout among restaurant persons.
Manal Al Musallam is a Kuwaiti humanitarian activist and the representative of the Transformational Breathing Foundation in the Arab world. In 2013, she lost her almost 5-years-old daughter, Dana, in a painful drowning accident. She decided to replace hope with pain and to devote her life to helping Syrian refugees and displaced people, especially children, by organizing relief campaigns, distributing aid, and providing them with various needs and requirements via establishing the "Dana Volunteering Team" foundation. she had the title of "Arab Hope Maker" in 2018 in the United Arab Emirates, which was launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The founder and chairwoman of LOYAC in Kuwait, Fareah Al Saqqaf, draws up the organization's strategic plans for fundraising. She received many awards, including the First Class Medal of Excellence by the late Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah in 2014.
Rashad Tabiat is a Lebanese-born entrepreneur and owner of Al Othman high-end fashion stores in Kuwait and Bahrain and ON MOTCOMB in London. Al Othman store, founded by his father in 1956, is considered the first store to operate major fashion houses and international brands in Kuwait and the Gulf. Ilham Mahfouz holds a BA in Business Administration with honors from the American University in Cairo, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Money Changers in London. She joined the Commercial Bank of Kuwait in 2000 as Director of the International Banking Services Department, and held several leading positions including the General Manager of the Bank’s branch in New York, Acting General Manager of the International Banking Department, the General Manager of the International Banking Department in December 2010, the Bank Deputy CEO in April 2012, then appointed as the Bank CEO since November 20, 2014. Before joining the Commercial Bank of Kuwait, Ilham worked for several Kuwaiti financial institutions and had more than thirty years of experience in banking. Forbes Magazine listed her among the most powerful CEOs in the Middle East in 2021, to be the only Egyptian on the list.
Sheikha Al Bahar is the deputy CEO of the National Bank of Kuwait Group. She excelled in the field of business and economics, and become a competitive name in the arena of businesswomen. She topped the 100 most powerful Arab businesswomen of 2012 as the CEO of the National Bank of Kuwait. Globally, the German "Forbes" magazine ranked her during the same year the eighty-fifth among the top 100 powerful women in the world. It was able to achieve profits of more than one billion dollars and revenues of 2.3 billion dollars. Thanks to her, the Bank of Kuwait ranked seventh among the "Top 200 Powerful Gulf Companies". Sheikha Al Bahr is also the chairwoman of the Human and Urban Development Committee of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development in Kuwait, where she worked on the health care and education reform strategy in Kuwait.

Her real success was achieved through the series "The Sleepless"((ساهر الليل, in which she had the starring roles in its three seasons. After that, she moved to directing and excelled in many Kuwaiti series and plays. She won the Best Director award at "The Distinguished in Ramadan Festival" (المميزون في رمضان) for the series "A Song in her Eye" (في عينها أغنية).
Dr. Muthanna is a Fellow orthopedic surgeon in joint replacement from Rush Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, which is one of the most prominent orthopedic centers in the United States of America. He holds multiple medical practice licenses in the states of New York, California, Illinois, and Texas. Dr. Muthana is a faculty member in the Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois, former director of the OSF Center for Joint Implantology and former chief of the Orthopedics Department at Christie Clinic. He holds a US Patent and Trademark Office patent in the Orthopedics entitled "Method of Performing a Modified Noninvasive Surgical Approach to Total Knee Replacement Surgeries" which has been published in a number of journals. He also received a US Patent and Trademark Office patent titled "Acetabular Insertion and Fitting Tool" related to hip replacements.
Dr. Al Rashdan studied medicine in Kuwait then moved to Canada, where he specialized in cardiology and had a unique experience while working in three of the largest hospitals in Canada and contacting with a group of distinguished doctors, which helped him complete the success journey in Kuwait. He is also an academic cardiology professor at Kuwait University and has participated in changing the curricula of the College of Medicine to the advanced system. In 2004, Dr. Al Rashdan participated at the Paris conference, in which he won world second place for giving a special presentation on catheterization. Dr. Al Rashdan recorded a medical precedent by inventing a new method for treating coronary artery bypass through catheterization. For the first time in the Middle East, the said operation was broadcasted directly via satellite from the catheterization laboratory at the Chest Hospital to Baltimore, Maryland, where the American Heart Catheterization Association was holding the activities of its periodic and international conference special for complex heart cases attended by international doctors. This event was a great achievement recorded in the name of Kuwait.
Chef Ahmed Al Badr is a culinary expert, certified chef, and a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu and the French Culinary Institution. He holds a diploma in classical culinary arts and restaurant management, as well as a certificate in Parisian bread making. His extensive personal experience spanned nearly 17 years in this sector, as he was one of the first Kuwaitis to take their passion for cooking as their primary profession and then get benefits thereof. In addition to creating and managing unique restaurants across Kuwait, Ahmed provides hands-on experience to those looking to break into the food industry through an initiative called Central Eats. Recently, Caterer Middle East listed him among the Top 50 Food and Beverage Influencers as well as the Top Ten Restaurant Developers in the Middle East.
Fahad Al Othman is the founder of the HumanSoft Group, and the founder and chair of the Board of Trustees of the American University of the Middle East (AUM) and the American College of the Middle East (ACM). He always strives to achieve his mission which is to develop education in Kuwait. Fahad Al Othman has won many awards, such as the “Circle of Excellence” award of New Horizons in the United States of America for the best achievement twice, in 2000 and 2002, and he was awarded the “Best Middle East CEO of the Year” in the 2006 for IT awards category, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to raising IT regional awareness.
In order to aid her blind cousin with his studies, Sheikha Al Majed invented a Braille Pen. Al Majed told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this invention will greatly help the blind people and simplify writing for them, as they will not have to use the tiring traditional method by pressing on the entire hand to write, but rather use the simple "screw pen". The innovation that entered the manufacturing stage was well received by those who tried it, while a plan was drawn up for its wide adoption in centers and schools for the blind in Kuwait. Sheikha's invention first prototype was made in the Netherlands and tested on blind people there, to have great acclaim.
In 2018, Kuwaiti mountaineer Youssef Al Rifai reached the highest volcanic peak in Oceania, which is 4367 meters above sea level, raising the flag of Kuwait and becoming the first Arab to climb it. Then Al Refai made a new achievement for Kuwait, reaching the highest volcanic peak in the world in Chile, which is 6,893 meters above sea level. The Ojos del Salado volcanic peak in Chile is the highest in the world, and Youssef Al Refai is the first Kuwaiti to achieve this feat and record climbing the sixth peak of the seven volcanic peaks in the world. In January 2022, Al Refai completed the challenge of the Seven Volcanic Peaks by climbing the last one in the group, which is Sidley volcano in Antarctica, to be the world 24th, the youngest and the first Arab and Middle East person to finish climbing them.
