Pasha de Cartier’s First Bespoke Night Soiree in Saudi Arabia

October 2021 marks a monumental moment for Cartier in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as the brand hosted their first ever exclusive soiree in Riyadh, in celebration of the relaunch of the Pasha de Cartier wristwatch.

In an ode to its innovative debut, the special party offered an experiential journey exhibition, and was celebrated in presence of close friends of the Maison and highly discerning clientele.

Set within Riyadh’s Al Faisaliah tower garden, Cartier’s VIP clients, regional celebrities, top regional press, and key opinion leaders came together to celebrate the relaunch of the Pasha de Cartier watch – an iconic creation that made its mark in the 1980’s.

Guests were greeted by a grand façade entrance and arch, embodying Pasha’s signature circle and square. All were enchanted by an immersive experience tunnel, leading to a wondrous exhibition highlighting Pasha’s past and present offerings.

In an honorable nod, Cartier lit up Riyadh’s very first skyscraper with the brands sparkling and signature red, respectfully idolizing the longstanding relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The timepiece’s aesthetic codes were projected on to the colossal Al Faisaliah tower, shining with Cartier’s logo reflection with shimmering lights creating dazzling formations. In a truly historic moment, attendees were left beaming with pride and admiration.

The highly anticipated relaunch exhibition showcased a special range of patrimony pieces flown in from Geneva to Saudi Arabia, including 1990 models – Pasha de Cartier wristwatch with self-winding movement and rotating bezel in yellow gold, and Pasha de Cartier wristwatch with self-winding movement, minute repeater, perpetual calendar, and moon phases featuring a leather strap. Watch connoisseurs were delighted to view the unique collection featuring decades of rich heritage and exquisite craftsmanship. Adding sparkle to the occasion, also displayed was a stunning array of prestigious high jewelry, a Pasha perfume corner along with an interactive touch and try station.

Cartier’s guests partied the night away with hip tunes by Saudi DJ’s Dish Dash, taking center stage. All were also welcomed to an interactive stage surrounded by the watch’s numerals and reveled in a series of further activations including a live band, cigar lounge, and a photo moment starring a showbolt robotic arm. Introduced as a first in the world of luxury brands, guests had the chance to take Grammy-like stop motion 15-second videos shot by the bot.

Distinguished as the ‘watch of achievers’, Cartier announced their new Pasha tribe members during the exclusive soiree: Saudi fashion designer Arwa Al Banawi, and DJ & Producer duo Dish Dash. In the 1980’s, Pasha’s unique and flamboyant design established its position as the ‘golden boys’ watch, symbolizing power and achievement paired with a hedonist lifestyle. Over the past decade, the watch’s power statement evolved to suit a new generation of ‘achievers’ valuing self-expression and diversity.
