WIF AND MAX MARA ANNOUNCE JOEY KING AS THE RECIPIENT

Emmy-nominated actress Joey King will be the 19th recipient of the annual WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award® to be presented to her during the 2024 WIF Honors on Thursday, October 24th. The WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award® recognizes impressive acting and producing work within the screen industries and her embodiment of style and grace. King will travel to Milan, Italy to meet the Maramotti family and attend the Max Mara Spring/Summer 2024 Fashion Show on Thursday, September 19th.

Joey King is an accomplished Emmy nominated American actress known for her versatility and compelling performances. Her breakthrough came at a young age and she has since been showcasing her acting prowess. She has solidified her status as a household name with notable roles in smash hit films like THE CONJURING and THE KISSING BOOTH series on Netflix. In the television space, King is widely known for her portrayal of Gypsy Rose Blanchard in Hulu’s limited series THE ACT. King’s performance has earned her SAG Award, Golden Globes, Critic’s Choice and Emmy nominations. With a combination of talent, charm, and a growing list of achievements, King continues to leave an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. 

King can most recently be seen in Tommy Kail’s WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES, a sweeping limited series about a family separated during World War II for 20th and Hulu starring opposite Logan Lerman. On the film side, she starred opposite Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron in Netflix's A FAMILY AFFAIR as well as leading and producing the film adaptation of the bestselling YA novel 

UGLIES, also for Netflix. She also made her first appearance in the global smash hit movie series DESPICABLE ME. Both films were #1. 

Her other recent work includes playing the duplicitous villain in Sony’s box office hit BULLET TRAIN opposite Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and more. The film went on to be a box office smash and received rave reviews. She also both lead and executive produced the third and final KISSING BOOTH film. The Netflix original trilogy was lauded as “one of the most-watched movies in the country, and maybe in the world” by Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos. Other recent projects include leading roles and producing credits in THE IN BETWEEN for Paramount+ and THE PRINCESS for Hulu.
