An eclectic dualism of femininity and strength imbues the Gianvito Rossi Spring Summer 2024 collection. Opposites of a sophisticated spectrum portray two stylish interpretations of elegance – one bold and glamorous, the other refined and subtle. The collection opens with inspirational touches from ancient times. The Roman Empire’s glory tickles the designer’s imagination, as exquisite touches of silver, gold and distinctive details grace the silhouettes of these polished creations.

Decorative leather wristbands, worn in the times of Ancient Rome, are re-interpreted in audaciously glamourous metallic sandals with a pin thin stiletto heel, which play on the notion of strength and femininity. Golden laurels, the symbol of victory and honour, climb on flat gladiator sandals, enveloping the leg in a seductive embrace, and adorn ever feminine pointy-toe sandals. A three-dimensional flower, in sumptuous metallic leather, gives a new allure to the designer’s most classic mule.

Daytime calls for fierce gladiator sandals and vigorous chunky heel platforms, both characterized by striking oversized round buckles. A balancing act of femininity and vigour.

A soft, subdued charm defines the second part of the collection, which looks to a chic, understated notion of elegance. Refined tone-on-tone buckles distinguish flat, graceful designs, whilst a low heel characterizes slingbacks with an elasticated leather cord, which call for the most practical comfort.

Neutral tones of brown, praline, mousse and Cipria, as well as pistachio green, freesia and azure, hues give these new silhouettes an essential, timeless appeal.
