VIV’ CHOC PIÈCE UNIQUE FALL / WINTER 2023

On the occasion of the Fall-Winter 2023 Haute Couture collections in Paris, Maison Vivier presents an
intimate audience to discover Viv’ Choc Pièce Unique — a dreamy collection of one-of-a-kind handbags
designed by Creative Director Gherardo Felloni that explore the absolute heights of aspirational French
savoir-faire. Perched upon a magnificent varicolored ceramic chandelier inside the Salle d’Argent of the
Maison Vivier in Paris, each unique creation is a delicate fantasia of embroidery and precious textiles. In
a camaieu of powdery pastel shades from ivory and rose pink velvets to dark water snake and ice grey
alligator, each hand-crafted objet d’art is an extravagant celebration of Parisian glamour.
From the soaring volumes of the Tour Eiffel and the gilded halls of Versailles to the energy of Paris by
night, Gherardo Felloni explores the dazzling heights of the Maison’s embroidery prowess with each piece,
crafting spectacular feats of adornment that go beyond surface embellishment to become exceptional
structures shivering with life. The draped curves of the Viv’ Choc, with its romantic folds and curves, is a
dramatic and sensual canvas for crystals, sequins, feathers and threadwork of the most exquisite qualities.
In a standard and miniature scale, each piece is hand-mounted and embroidered, with up to 13,000
beads and crystals applied by hand. Amongst them, intricate techniques bring flourishing patterns and
textures to the fore, from latticework bugle beading and crystal tulle mesh, to clusters of natural pearls and
rhinestones that shiver en tremblant.
Acknowledging opulent codes from the Roger Vivier archives, touches of magnificent cerulean plumage pay
homage to an iridescent feathered Choc heel from 1959, whilst turquoise briolettes adorn satin in a nod to
a Virgule shoes from 1963. Elsewhere, festoons of ostrich feathers evoke the bewitching costumes of the
Paris Opéra Ballet, mosaics of crystal and threadwork create radial motifs on tweed and nappa leather, and
a geometric map of Parisian streets from above is recreated in sparkling crystal and mohair embroidery on
velvet. The effect is extraordinary, as Gherardo Felloni conjures up Maison Vivier’s kaleidoscope of haute
craftsmanship with each precious creation a new ode to the Ville Lumière.

AVENUE DE JOUR

The richness of aquamarine velvet is harmoniously adorned with intricate three-dimensional mohair wool thread embroideries, elevated by the hand application of crystal rocks, exhibiting a captivating array of shapes and sizes. Approximately 78 hours dedicated to its creation and the placement of 2,090
meticulous applications.

AVENUE DE NUIT

Crafted from black velvet, the allure of this Pièce Unique lies in the three-dimensional white mohair wool thread embroideries. Crystal rocks in various shapes and sizes are carefully incorporated, glistening with an ethereal beauty. With approximately 78 hours of devoted treatment and the placement of 2,090 meticulous applications, this creation exudes unparalleled craftsmanship.

BLUE VELVET

Transparent tubes and sparkling crystal rhinestones in- terweave to create a mesmerising net effect. This Pièce Unique exudes regal elegance, with approximately 50 hours dedicated to its creation and the assembly of 2,090 meticulous applications.

CATERINA DE’ MEDICI

This Pièce Unique features a captivating kaleidoscope effect, achieved through the meticulous arrangement of real pearls in different sizes and shapes. With utmost care, each pearl has been transformed into a stunning iridescent gem, meticulously hand-sewn to form a tapestry of elegance. This exclusive creation honours the legacy of Caterina de’ Medici herself.

CHANDELIER

Skillfully crafted from tweed, this Pièce Unique is adorned with hand-beaded baguette crystal stones and
intricately embroidered woven beads. Reminiscent of a vibrant fireworks display, every embroidery is
meticulously handcrafted, adding an extra layer of artisanal excellence to this remarkable creation. With
approximately 25 hours dedicated to its craftsmanship and the careful application of 1000 exquisite elements.

The lustrous turquoise silk satin embraces the heritage embroidery, meticulously composed of glass drops

assembly of 6500 applications.

Crafted from luxurious black ayers leather adorned with an exquisite arrangement of black beads and stones.
