ETRO Spring Summer 2022 women's collection in full bloom

For the Spring Summer 2022 season ETRO enters a new phase, in the spirit of an exciting optimism and a vibrant strength.

Drawing a rainbow of fascinating suggestions, Creative Director Veronica Etro portrays a young generation of enthusiastic dreamers embracing lightness, positivity and celebrating life.

A joyful mysticism and spiritual awakening typical of the 70s inspires the overall mood, however the look is anchored to reminiscences of 90s’ slickness. ETRO invites you to let the sunshine in and go with the flow, embarking on a bright journey infused with freedom, mindfulness and joyous escapism.

Introduced by a drum live performance by Les Tambours du Bronx, the lineup exudes a deep sense of positive energy reflecting in the wide range of patterns giving the collection a kaleidoscopic vibe. Lush flowers blossom into spiritual mandalas, but they also grow into intriguing Paisley motifs. Optical upholstery-inspired patterns with a psychedelic feel introduce sinuous geometries, exalted by hypnotic floral Paisley waves. In addition, maxi prints of multicolor daisies find place next to textured striped graphics, while the tree of life in full bloom celebrates fertility and strength.

Colors are vibrating and energizing. Vitamin orange, emerald green, candy pink and bright yellow touches are matched with nocturnal black and pure white notes for a balance between exuberant flamboyancy and sophisticated, effortless elegance.

In keeping with the 90s’ inspiration, the silhouette is lean and elongated. Comfortable pants with elastic waistbands are worn with an array of crop tops spanning from camisoles with spaghetti straps to crochet bras wrapping around the bodice and enriched with healing crystals pendants. Sarong skirts are worn over frocks or matched with mannish shirts, while cut out dresses feel modern and urban interpretations of refined saris. Layering is key. Cycling shorts and leggings become athletic foundations to build the look and knitted sets are layered under metallic mini frocks with a disco glam attitude. Pants with slits are designed to mimic skirts’ volumes.

To complete the look, platform and heeled sandals with cage constructions are embellished with the “Crown Me” signature studs. They also enrich the gold jewelry pieces showing organic shapes embracing the body, as well as the straps of bucket bags, totes and shoulder bags crafted from plush suede in bright tones or peppered by lively patterns. Coated raffia shoppers with a tactile texture are worked in a Paisley pattern rendered in a vibrant palette of yellow, red, candy pink and emerald green.
