Hermès Les Formes de la Couleur, new High Jewelry Collection

“This collection is a shaping of color. I wanted to find a way to express this fundamental phenomenon – color, at Hermès – and build a strong, autonomous and independent identity. »
Pierre Hardy, creative director of Hermès jewelry
A journey into color. An exploration of volumes and materials, through a multi-faceted collection.

Carried by winds of curiosity and freedom, the chapters of the new Hermès fine jewelry collection, designed by Pierre Hardy, make up the stops on an eclectic and radiant odyssey.

It is in the eye that colors come to life, through the stimulation of receptors located on the retina. Pierre Hardy, creative director of the Hermès jewelry store, celebrates here the effects of this phenomenon; he manages to capture the immaterial, the color, and grasp the form. This new collection tells the story of a reflection, an experiment around the perception of light.

The notion of resonance between colors and geometric shapes inspired the creation of the rings in the Portraits of Color chapter , which illustrate, in a sophisticated architecture, these surprising associations: the red of a ruby is a square, the yellow of a beryl is a triangle, the blue of a sapphire is a circle…

With its monochrome lines, the Fresh Paint chapter transposes an illusion, that of having painted with stones; precious stones and fine stones appear as deep and nuanced colored arabesques. Meticulous jeweling allows this effect of movement, giving volume and texture to the jewelry. Stunning mirage.

The supple, wavy shapes of the Arc en Couleurs chapter follow the curves of the body, and their soft colors invite you to daydream. Articulated thanks to ingenious enameling work, bracelets and necklaces are the result of technical prowess. Nearly 1,400 stones were selected for the gradient of the necklace.

The ring, bracelet and necklace of the Hermès Diaprés chapter are composed of center stones; white diamonds or emerald-cut sapphires, points of diffusion of soft and colorful light.
Their brilliance radiates the architectural mother-of-pearl pattern with iridescent reflections highlighted with colored stones and baguette-cut diamonds. To transpose the original design of the necklace, the mother-of-pearl plates of this unique piece were cut on work.

Hypnotic, architectural and precious, the pieces in the Supracolor chapter , including a unique necklace model, are a demonstration of the diffraction of light waves; transition from black to white and appearance of rays of color, through the prism of rutile quartz set with a dazzling triangle-cut diamond.

Color Shapes provokes daring encounters, arouses contradictions, creates surprises: the rounded and asymmetrical shapes of the Color Vibes chapterare paired with classic-cut gemstones, such as an emerald-cut emerald or a baguette-cut tanzanite. As for the highly geometric pieces in the Color Flash chapter , paved with brightly colored stones, they are like pixelated digital images. The innovative and unique construction of the necklace allows you to play with lengths and thus offer multiple wears.

Hermès cultivates a unique approach to fine jewelry, inherited from its original profession as a harness maker and saddler. Imbued with this bold spirit, the new jewelry collection, which combines bold shapes and abundant colors, exudes a powerful emotion.
