KAREN WAZEN EYEWEAR OPENS ITS FIRST-EVER STORE IN BEIRUT, LEBANON

Karen Wazen Eyewear has opened its first-ever retail store in Beirut, Lebanon.

Located in ABC Mall, Dbayeh—a leading shopping destination in Lebanon—founder and global style identity, Karen Wazen always felt it was important to establish the brand’s first retail space in Lebanon, “My hometown is always on my mind and we always aspired to open our first boutique in Beirut.”

In the spirit of keeping it in the family, Wazen’s mother Nada Hakim lent her architectural design expertise to the space. The result is a hardly unmissable 360 retail experience. Drawing inspiration from the bold colours of the collections, the store is made of translucent acrylic paneling rendered in shades of pink, red, orange and yellow, which house Karen Wazen Eyewear’s best-selling core silhouettes and latest seasonal styles.

“It was important that our first store instantly captured the colourful spirit of the brand. The contrast between the bright shades and clean geometric lines was intended so shoppers could have a fun experience trying on our eyewear in an unimposing, straightforward environment,” shares Wazen of the ethos behind the boutique design.

Grounding the space is a central green column. On one side, the “Karen Wazen” brand logo is illuminated in a distinguishably new design that introduces the label’s gradual transition to an updated visual identity. Alongside, other panels are affixed with an arched mirror offering generous space for customers to try on their favourite pairs, and campaign images of Wazen that provide endless style inspiration.
