DIOR PRESENTS THE SPRING-SUMMER 2024 READY-TO-WEAR COLLECTION

Maria Grazia Chiuri has dreamed up the Dior spring-summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection starting from a reflection on the meaning of the present, where past and future must coexist simultaneously. The Creative Director thus continues to explore the link between femininity and feminism, with the conviction that fashion has, more than ever, a responsibility to help women realize their worth and express their differences. She has therefore focused her attention on all the rebels who have asserted their independence. In each look, an architectural silhouette is delineated. Certain fabrics bear witness to a materiality, a temporal memory and a deep knowledge of the work of Italian artist Alberto Burri; tears, lacerations and combustions become a constitutive, performative element of the Dior creations. Unveiled at the heart of an immersive scenography, an engaged project specially conceived and designed by Elena Bellantoni, the models are dressed in shades of ash, chamomile and love potion. A fascinating collective energy restoring the idea that the body/clothing relationship is set in the context of the times.
