FENDI Kids Fall/Winter 2022-2023 Collection

The FENDI Kids Collection for the Fall/Winter 2022-23 season reinterprets the college style and ‘back to school’ attitude in the FENDI way. From sporty to casual pieces and knitwear, the fil rouge is that of the highest craftsmanship and creativity implied in the creation of the garments, crafted with the highest attention to materials.

College-inspired pleated mini-skirts, striped polo-neck sweaters, Bermuda shorts and wool cloth bombers are reinterpreted in FENDI style, acquiring shades of Yale blue, Stanford red and Columbia green.

Macro college stripes and checked prints are mixed and matched in unexpected ways, together with the reinterpretations of the FENDI logo as a college symbol and as a pennant, recalling the typical American universities garments while a small sailor collar on the back of the shoulders recalls the world of Asian school uniforms, as seen on coats and shirts for both boys and girls.

Mix and match is a strong story going throughout the whole collection, expressing FENDI’s dualism: materials, prints, logos and colours are combined in unique and unexpected ways. From these encounters are born girl’s dresses that are half fleece with a teddy bear print, and half corduroy in a contrasting tone. Similarly, a solid forest green hoodie is mixed with a padded checked shirt, creating a boy’s jacket that is perfect for the autumn season.

Adding an essential touch to the coloured palette, neutral pieces in the shades of Bambi and Trench beige are characterised by ton sur ton embroideries of a FENDI logo designed as a coat of arms.

This logo, together with the FENDI lettering in italics, are a recurring theme across the collection, as seen on sweaters, hoodies, dresses and on the back of coats.

Printed trompe l’oeil t-shirts never cease to surprise: this time the cartoon characters – Travis and Margot dolls, the Teddy Bear and Fendirumi – are captured while playing sports, anticipating a yellow FENDI basketball completed with a bag to carry it crafted from Econyl®, a particular and innovative nylon fibre 100% regenerated from waste that would otherwise pollute the earth.

The FF logo multicolor doodled Fun Fair print taken from an upcycled jacquard from the archives, is the starting point for a unisex capsule. Bombers and Bermuda shorts for boys, dresses, and skirts for girls with matching sandals, rompers from the baby line all present the colourful pattern, as well as t-shirts with the FENDI Roma logo embroidered in the same style.

Unisex leisurewear ensembles with a sporty flair are crafted from warm cashmere and present the FENDI Roma logo on the front, to keep the little ones warm while maintaining maximum comfort and freedom of movement.

A hooded sweater is paired with tracksuit pants in the tones of camel, melange grey and pink. Knitwear is characterised by an all-over FF logo pattern, made with a crocheted look, in tonal or contrasting hues. Colour block sweaters unite the season’s bright hues: Harvard burgundy with rococo pink, casper blue or Columbia green with macaron violet. On the other hand, a vest and a patchwork cardigan combine different prints and logos – diamonds, stripes, checks and the unmissable declinations of the FENDI logo.

An icon of the Kids line for many collections now, the FENDI teddy bear jumps on sweaters and fleeces, transforming a hoodie into a snout with ears and eyes. A wool pile sweater with a soft and fluffy teddy texture has the teddy bear in jacquard on both the front and the back of the garment, as if it was hugging the wearer.

The story continues through accessories, with beanies, earmuffs, and matching scarf, as well as a fluffy sleeping bag for the baby. For the Accessories offer, FENDI has kids ready to go back to school with an unexpected collaboration with Fabriano, one of the oldest paper producers in Italy.

Among the proposals, coloured pencils, and notebooks, as well as a pencil case in yellow FENDI Pack leather or with the brown FF logo pattern in PU. The same print is to be found on the trolley backpack with hidden shoulder straps, to be used in both ways and carry everything that is necessary to restart the academic year.

Shoes are designed as the perfect completion for the seasonal looks: net Colibrì and Maryjane vinyl ballerinas for girls and velvet and suede sneakers for boys follow the college attitude, together with unisex classic loafers that present the FENDI O’Lock logo on the upper.

The latter, together with a Chelsea boot with the same logo detail, are part of the Mini Me story, being the same as the Women’s collection.

The Baby line follows the themes of the Junior one with a selection of Mini Me pieces, with a similar but softer palette and matching patterns and shapes.

The college attitude is transformed into a print of teddy bears that learn how to write or read, play sports, and are dressed in the same college style. The teddy also appears as a warm quilted jacket or as a pram suit. A selection of nursery kits aligns with the stories of the season with supple and soft materials that better adapt to the baby world. Quilted garments acquire contrasting or tonal FF embroideries in lightweight yet warm sets for the little ones. Completing the line with extra tenderness, a cashwool FF logo cardigan with bunny ears matches a cuddly doudou doll.
