Arriba, amore! After Founder, J.J. Martin’s joyful sojourn through Seville last April, La DoubleJ is injecting some Feria fever into its latest joy ride for its Spring ‘24 Collection.

Using joy and its power to uplift, transform and transmute energetic frequencies into the stratosphere, the Milanese brand delivers a delicious new array of celebratory Spring styles designed, as always, to elevate the style and spirits of the community they dress.

This collection sees best-selling styles arrive in intricate macrame fabrications and elaborate embellishments, joined by a flurry of new celebratory spring sets, and ruched, regal and ready- to-rumba dress designs for maximalist ode to Italy’s sun-worshipping style.

Always embracing the unexpected and ebullient, La DoubleJ’s Fashion Week show includes a total takeover of Milan’s historic Porta Nuova with a full carousel, custom gigantic curtains and a crew of
incredible women from the brand’s global community who all signed up (some flying themselves from
their far flung hometowns) to join the live model presentation of the collection.

This is a celebration of print, empowerment, play, and the exceptional craft of Italy’s extraordinary artisans. Put on your dancing shoes, darling (we have those too). Spring ‘24 was made to move.

THE JOY RIDE PRESENTATION

For J.J. and her team of design dreamers, fashion has always served as a liberating expression for women
to tap into their inner joy wells.

La DoubleJ’s global community is its heart, soul, and perpetual inspiration, so it was the natural choice to have them represent the latest collection for the brand’s first live model presentation. A global “street casting” saw women from around the world – Mexico City, Canada, and The United States – fly to Milan to join this latest ode to joy and sisterhood. An enormous, working carousel has been constructed in the heart of the city at Porta Nuova for the presentation and will remain all week long as an invitation to the LDJ community and passersby alike to embrace their inner child and indulge in a moment of joy. CELEBRATION SILHOUETTES

If Italy is associated with amore, Spain is synonymous with sizzle. So the marriage of these two passionate
parties has made for a pulse-raising array of new silhouettes.

Romantic ruches arrive across sultry new silhouettes like The Feria Dress and Pincho Mini Skirt, while signature LDJ showstoppers like the Sophia Dress and Magnifico Dress come reimagined in a fresh, sun-faded color palette and with embroidered tassels and accents to enhance that elevated energy. We’ve prepped for primavera with a panoply of spring celebration sets, from the elegant jacquard Bijoux Jacket and Skirt to the fabulously festive Torero Jacket and Shorts, designed to be worn together or layered with pieces from one’s own wardrobe. For wedding season, an array of statement dresses arrives in body skimming styles, like the curve-hugging Gingerbread Dress, flirtatious Flamenco Dress and diaphanous San Carlo Dress. Our all occasion appropriate, iconic Swing Dresses arrive in a flurry of fabrications this season – our classic silk twill, new primavera tweed and precious macramés across all our iconic iterations – maxi and mini.

PRIMAVERA PLACÉE

This collection sees La DoubleJ deliver more in-house created placée (hand-placed) patterns than ever
before.

Joining subtly striking all over prints like the pistachio-hued fans and vibrant signature Lilium designs, arrives the Piazza Placée a vibrant burst of flamenco-inspired florals across a black and white base, that appears across Foulard Shirts, Swing Dresses and (perhaps J.J.’s favorite new dress of the season) the Reina Dress.

Sultrier styles like the curve-hugging Angelica Dress join floaty faves, like the Long Camerino Dress and Magnifico Dress, delivered in the dramatic Zodiac Placée, a vibrant blend of fuchsia blooms against a mint or gold base.

EMBROIDERIES & SOPHISTICATED FABRICATIONS

Did you say, macramé? Rustic romance in the form of intricate cotton macramé makes its majestic entrance this season across new and classic LDJ silhouettes alike, while the new Zeta Dress delivers sultry sophistication in embroidered soft organza.

Decadent details like raw-edged hems appear across the new Playa Top and Playa Shorts for street-style chic, while our new cotton tweed in minimalist-friendly earth tones gives luxurious texture to the iconic Mini Swing Dress. Flirty fringes and tassels decorate the hems of iconic LDJ pieces, like the jacquard La Scala Top and Sophia Dress, along with new petite-friendly pieces like the Feria Mini Dress. The new Sevillana Vest arrives in open-weave embroidery for a burst of bohemian brightness, while the cropped Aria Top is delivered in two dazzling iterations; one precious, lace-like macramé, and one intricate color blocked embroidered macramé, perfect for pairing with its matching Pencil Skirt, or with any high-waisted DoubleJ denim.

LIGHT TRAVEL READY LAYERS

Light, silk separates are key cornerstones of the LDJ wardrobe ensuring the journey from plane to palazzo party is sartorially seamless. Best-sellers like the Palazzo Pants and Foulard Shirt arrive in the brand’s summer-ready saffrons and Mediterranean blues, along with new matching cropped, silk Short Shirt.

This season, we're singing all about spring knits. Loose weave crocheted numbers like the Yarn Maxi Dress join chunky sweaters and dazzling full knit families (appropriately named, the Dazzling Set), perfect for layering as you transition from Spring to Summer. Feeling a chill on that taxi boat across the Venice canals? Our fil coupé Milano Jacket and Embroidered Sisterhood Bombers are the perfect light but luxurious layer for aperitivo hour.

BEACH KIT

Our best-selling swimwear joins the print party in a striking array of sun-soaked new placée prints - from
the one-shouldered Goddess Bikini Top to the new Sleeveless Sunset Swimsuit in hand-placed tile-inspired patterns, there's a bathing suit for every beach bella. Last (but certainly not least) our flock of pochettes, totes, and sun accessories arrives in seriously festive style, replete with raffia fringes, and long, colored tassels across everything from the Pimento Slides to the Promenade Hat that we're betting will be the shady style of the season.
