MALONE SOULIERS LAUNCHES AW22 CAMPAIGN – A SENSE OF SELF

Malone Souliers’ AW22 campaign explores the transformative power of personal style. An array of handmade shoes that inspire confidence and purpose, each with their own individual personality.

Style is very much its own language, and like any language requires attention to be properly understood. It’s the most immediate form of self-expression, and a way of telegraphing personalities to the world around us. Far from being frivolous, fashion is in fact a vital means of creativity and communication, and new possibilities arise when you feel truly like yourself.

It's these ideas that are behind Malone Souliers’ latest campaign, A Sense of Self. Shoes that facilitate comfort, confidence, and bold expression have always been our speciality, but this season adopts a particular focus on creating and redefining one’s self-image. It’s a collection for those who take every opportunity to express themselves, whether that’s with the Yuri platform in pink satin, or the Claudia cowboy boot. New styles introduce themselves, and old favourites return in fresh guises.

Alongside the women’s collection is the offer of men’s shoes: a refined lineup of elegant silhouettes that reference the illustrious history of 20th century menswear. The Dali is the brands version of the versatile suede chukka boot, and the Andre an interpretation of a classic fisherman’s sandal. As always, each pair is lovingly made by hand in Italy, using traditional techniques passed down through generations.

“Style can sometimes seem like a passive thing – you choose the items you like and allow them to represent you – but it’s very much an active process,” Malone Souliers Founder and Creative Director Mary Alice Malone says. “It’s the practice of defining and redefining the self in a way that feels empowering.

Through personal style we can communicate with others, but above all it is something we do for ourselves. That’s who this collection is for: the person who takes joy in dressing for themselves, and who draws energy from the feeling this gives them.”
