MARLI New York celebrates Bahrain 52nd National Day

The fine jewelry brand is marking the special day by collaborating with contemporary Bahraini artist, Rawan Al Sairafi

Honoring the annual Bahrain National Day – celebrated on 16th and 17th December – fine jewelry brand MARL New York has unveiled an exciting partnership with Bahraini artist Rawan Al Sairafi. Known for its minimalist and contemporary fine jewelry collections, the New York City-based brand this national day, is celebrating the country’s spirit through the artist partnership. 

The new partnership will see MARLI New York collaborate with local Bahraini artist Rawan Al Sairafi, who will create custom artwork visuals for this celebration. Founded in 2014 by Maral Artinian, MARLI New York is inspired by the world’s most dynamic city and the women who live in it, creating modern celebrations of femininity, such as signature pendants, eye-catching earrings and delicate bracelets, along other powerful pieces.

Embodying this same dynamic and boundary-pushing spirit, Al Sairafi is known for her bold acrylic painted canvases and street art style, which takes inspiration from travel and nature. The artist captures the heritage and spirit of the Gulf nation and brings it into the modern era and has previously collaborated with global brands and exhibited at prestigious galleries and art fairs across the region.

“In collaboration with MARLI New York, I aimed to integrate my artistic expression, which often reflects Bahrain’s culture and heritage, within the artwork. The art piece expresses sentiments of pride, cultural celebration, unity, fused together to celebrate the significance of Bahrain National Day. I was honored to work with MARLI on this project and put together a piece that celebrates my home for a remarkable jewelry brand.” Rawan Al Sairafi added.

Cementing its relationship and showcasing its deep affinity with the Kingdom of Bahrain, MARLI New York recently opened its first store in Manama, located in the elegant Moda Mall. Customers can shop the fine jewelry house’s contemporary, architectural-inspired designs, such as colorful stones, diamond rings, tennis bracelets and the brand’s iconic pyramid stone shape, set alongside modern 18k gold detail.
