MAX&Co. UNVEILS NEW CAPSULE COLLECTION “ECCENTRIC

MANIA” WITH ARTIST ASHLEY HICKS’ IN-STORE XMAS

October 2021 – In an exciting partnership, MAX&Co. has joined forces with internationally renowned interior designer Ashley Hicks who has created the new in-store installations for the launch of the capsule “Eccentric Mania”.

The FW21 MAX&Co. capsule collection “Eccentric Mania” is a celebration of the quintessentially mix-and-match approach to style, this season opposites attract. Plush velvet dresses are worn with stompy boots and extra-long scarves, tweed and tartan are remixed with leopard print, crystal embellishment dials up the drama on neat cable knit sweaters. Here, the refined and the rebellious, tradition and modernity, ease and impact happily co-exist.

Ashley Hicks sublimed ‘Eccentric Mania’ with a great installation, an homage to eclectic style. Inspired by the relaxed, edgy chic of aristocrats, Hicks takes the faded splendour of an English country house as his starting point. Pavilions and obelisks, like those found in the gardens, are recurring motifs, as is an ornate floral print reinterpreted from the wool wall hangings in these grand homes. Tradition is reimagined with Hicks’ signature idiosyncratic touch. Seamlessly blending the old and new, ‘stone’ prints scanned are from Hicks’ painted designs; the ‘fabric’ print uses his own photograph of antique stamped wool. Graphic lines on the floor echo the collection’s plaids and tartans.

The MAX&Co. Milan flagship store (Corso Vittorio Emanuele II angolo Piazza del Liberty 4) will be the mainstage for the installation, with accents from the collaboration rolled out to every MAX&Co. boutique.
