Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh TM The “OUT OF OFFICE” Sneaker Returns

Off-WhiteTM announces a new drop of its signature “OUT OF OFFICE” sneaker for the first time since the shoe’s 2020 debut as part of the Off-WhiteTM Fall 2020/2021 menswear collection. Originally designed by Off-WhiteTM founder Virgil Abloh and launched in the midst of lockdown, when “work from home” rules made “out of office” a mandate rather than a state of mind, the sneaker is an homage to out-of-the-box thinking and the power of creativity to inspire a brighter future.

Specifically, the low-top silhouette splices street, basketball, and running influences with stylistic nods to the late 1980s and early ‘90s, when sneakers (previously relegated to athletic arenas) became everyday wardrobe essentials. Combining these cross-cultural references with Abloh’s visionary rebellion and articulate aesthetic, the sneaker is both a rejection of daily norms and an invitation for self-expression.

“The concept for ‘OUT OF OFFICE’ was to embrace the power of creativity, to empower the public to escape the mundane, and to create their own world of infinite possibilities,” Abloh stated at the time of the sneaker’s release.

Equal parts elevated and leisurely, the “OUT OF OFFICE” sneaker features a contrasting outsole with translucent gel insets, classic perforated toe vamps, a ribbed heel, and a recontextualized logo: forward- facing darts across the shoe’s external uppers that draw from the Off-WhiteTM four-arrow icon.

Available in different colorways for both men’s and women’s sizing, the new “OUT OF OFFICE” collection includes a new model, the Mid Top version, that gives the sneaker a new creativity and expression, aspects that are dear to the brand.

The collection is available at www.off---white.com, independent Off-WhiteTM stores globally and select retail partners worldwide.

The brand has been live with dedicated 3D video billboards in the following cities: New York in Times Square, Hangzhou in China and Seoul in Korea (still on till March 31st).
