VALENTINO VINTAGE – THE FINAL PHASE

Sharing the unrivalled heritage and creative legacy of Maison Valentino by engaging with the new generation of young international talents. The Maison continues its path of giving back towards the final phase of Valentino Vintage, a project launched in 2021 and now at its second edition, with the aim of giving a second life to the Maison’s pieces.

Thanks to the creative partnership with 1 Granary, a leading global fashion education platform, incubator and creative network, the Maison has donated five Valentino Vintage looks to each of the seven fashion and art schools located in the cities that hosted the takeovers for the 2023 edition of the initiative. This enabled the creative talents of tomorrow to discover and redefine iconic designs from the Valentino archive.

In each school, IED in Milan, Institut Français de la Mode in Paris, Central Saint Martins in London, Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, Coconogacco in Tokyo, ESMOD in Seoul, and Parsons School of Fashion in New York, the donated Valentino Vintage looks inspired different dedicated initiatives. In-depth studies of the pieces, drawing sessions inspired by the donated garments, an AR filter, reinterpretation workshops, shootings, styling projects and much more.

The students from the institutions involved have had the opportunity to gain a hands-on experience with archive pieces, closely discovering the iconic codes that define Valentino’s heritage and DNA. Celebrating the unique projects developed by the students, who have sparked creative and innovative conversations within a global community, will be in fact the focus of this final phase of Valentino Vintage.

Valentino Vintage values education as a pivotal key to build a more culturally vibrant future, providing students with the necessary tools to grow, innovate, and be creative. The creative exchange takes center stage for the final phase of Valentino Vintage 2023, extending the Maison’s know-how to younger generations.
