BALENCIAGA 3XL SNEAKER CAMPAIGN

On August 20th, 2024, a series of portraits showcasing Balenciaga footwear launches with a spotlight on the 3XL Sneaker. The images are part of a new campaign highlighting Balenciaga’s latest athletic-inspired footwear.
In photographs taken by Chris Lensz, models Daniel and Lise wear the iconic sneakers in a monochromatic eggshell colorway, shot in a domestic setting.

The 3XL Sneaker, available now in Balenciaga stores and on balenciaga.com, exaggerates elements of an archetypical high-performance running shoe with a super-wide silhouette. Technical mesh in varying scales and thick laces add to a unique overall texture.

The shoe’s combined shape, complexity of design, and visual details create an almost illusory effect, where edges and surfaces are seemingly expanded as if with a magnifying tool. A distressed version evokes the 3XL’s original vintage inspiration.
