Boucheron - NEW creations for Quatre 20th Anniversary

“QUATRE is 20”

It all started in 2004 with a ring. Twenty years later, Quatre – composed of four patterns from the Boucheron archives and three colors of gold – has become the Maison’s jewelry icon.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this collection, Boucheron’s Creative Studio has designed anniversary creations featuring stackable rings and bracelets that infinitely multiply the Quatre codes. In the new “Never Enough” campaign presenting these pieces, Boucheron twice features its ambassadors Alexa Chung, Mila Al Zahrani, Han So-Hee, Rola and Zhou Dongyu. When it comes to Quatre, too much is never enough! This campaign will be broadcast on the boucheron.com website, social networks, and the Boucheron newsletter from April 9 to June 23, 2024.

WHAT’S NEW?

Quatre: playing on a classic

The new Quatre Classique pieces bring a whole new dimension to the classic. For the 20th anniversary of the Quatre Classique ring, the Boucheron Studio presents new creations that stylishly showcase the original codes of the collection. What began as a ring in 2004 is now available as chokers and bracelets. This year, more than ever before, the collection explores new ways to wear its aesthetic. These new creations may be stacked or worn separately: there are no rules.

Quatre

Quatre, also supple

Another style statement to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Boucheron icon: to unfold the Quatre codes like a ribbon. The Creative Studio thus offers four supple, articulated new pieces. Two necklaces, a pair of pendant earrings, and – the centerpiece of this anniversary year – an actual Quatre ribbon that is fully articulated. This masterpiece transforms to be worn in seven different ways: 2 necklaces, a belt, 3 bracelets and a hair jewel. To achieve the suppleness needed for these new pieces, based on an originally rigid design, the Boucheron craftsmen hand-assembled more than a hundred components without ever losing sight of the original identity of Quatre.

The two new Quatre Radiant Edition necklaces feature the same principle of articulation, but this time, each code is set with diamonds with a specific cut. They create a brilliant match to the Clou de Paris, Grosgrain, Double Godron, and line of diamonds.

Quatre in one

Quatre is four codes coming together. So for the anniversary pieces, the Studio dreamed up designs where rings and bracelets are layered and stacked, thereby amplifying the Quatre codes ad infinitum. One collar necklace is made up of fifty Quatre rings, each individually crafted and assembled with the savoir-faire that’s unique to this collection.

Boucheron has also invented a Quatre bracelet in the form of a spool that holds no fewer than 12 pieces, 2 cuff bangles and 10 bracelets, all channeling the collection’s codes. There is no gluing involved, only myriad assemblies executed entirely by hand, so the wearer has total freedom and versatility in how they choose to style these pieces.

Quatre’s birthday attire

Naturally, the Boucheron icon’s 20th anniversary warrants an ultra-precious edition of Quatre Classique. On a ring, a bracelet and a choker, the Double Godron code is augmented with spessartite garnets, set off by yellow sapphires on the Grosgrain. These new stones intensify the sparkle of the row of diamonds and contrast with the Clou de Paris’ brown PVD. Assembling these groups of garnets and yellow sapphires posed a huge challenge to the Maison’s Gemstones department, which spent several years sourcing stones of absolutely identical colors.

This ultra-precious edition is also available in fully diamond-set creations. Each Quatre code is expressed through a specific stone cut: The Clou de Paris, which pays tribute to Place Vendôme and the Maison’s historical location, is represented by the princess-cut diamond. The Gros-Grain – a reference to the couture origins of Boucheron and Frédéric Boucheron’s father having been a draper – is reinterpreted with the baguette diamond. The Double Godron, a structural design that symbolizes love between two people and calls to mind Boucheron’s connection with architecture, is depicted here through a combination of round diamonds. These three codes are combined with the row of diamonds, symbolizing eternity, which is the fourth code of the Quatre collection.
