CLINIQUE LA PRAIRIE ANNOUNCES ART COMMISSION BY SARA NAIM AT ART DUBAI

Global pioneer in holistic longevity science and wellness, Clinique La Prairie, is unveiling a special art commission at Art Dubai 2024, taking place from 1-3 March 2024 at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. A sponsor of the fair, Clinique La Prairie will host an installation by Syrian multidisciplinary artist, Sara Naim, at its Longevity Lounge at Art Dubai.

Naim, who grew up between London and Dubai, found inspiration in the sun to capture the connection between wellness and wholeness, as well as  between longevity and timeless in her installation. By showcasing the motion of sunrise and sunset on its surface, the artwork symbolises the cyclicality of existence, emphasising the importance of taking time to be present.

Sara Naim, Artist, commented: “We create meaning based on expectations of objects, rather than seeing things for what they are. The experience of a sunset is made from the viewer's reason processing the sensory information, and not from the sunset itself. It is important to ask ourselves if what we see is formed from within rather than out.”

Part of a public talk series ‘Conversations with Artists’, Naim will discuss her Clinique La Prairie commissioned work and wider practice in relation to wellness and longevity. Held on 1 March at 5pm at the Art Bar, Naim’s talk will explore these concepts from a lens of cyclicality and its symbolism, inviting visitors to reflect on their own ideas of wellness and longevity.

Fair attendees can also participate in a series of guided meditation sessions with the artist at the Longevity Lounge. Naim will lead participants through a hands-on drawing meditation, allowing them to explore visual expressions of their emotions. After the meditation, participants are welcome to explore the treatments offered at the Clinique La Prairie Longevity Lounge at Art Dubai and indulge in revitalising refreshments.

Clinique La Prairie’s philosophy of longevity combines its expertise and its holistic approach based on the following four pillars of medical insights, wellbeing, nutrition and movement. At the start of the year, Clinique La Prairie opened its inaugural Longevity Hub in the UAE, housed within the striking vertical structure of the One&Only One Za’abeel, an ultra-luxury resort in the heart of the city. This marks the fifth urban satellite site for Clinique La Prairie, underlining its integral role as a key player in the country’s health and wellness landscape.
