Over the past decade, Letters Live, a captivating show dedicated to celebrating the enduring power of literary correspondence, has entertained audiences worldwide with 50 shows featuring over 300 world-class performers and has supported many charities, including Choose Love and the National Literacy Trust. During this anniversary live show, individuals who graced the stage to read extraordinary letters before a live audience included Benedict Cumberbatch, Gillian Anderson, Olivia Colman, Jodie Whittaker, Minnie Driver, Stephen Fry, Rob Delaney, Tom Odell, Tobias Menzies, Will Sharpe and Woody Harrelson.

"It was only natural for Montblanc to unite with Letters Live, as both share an unwavering devotion to the written word and the influence it wields on individuals and communities. Montblanc's very inception was rooted in a visionary concept - to transform the way people connect through the art of writing, and we are thrilled to extend this incredible legacy through our partnership, opening fresh avenues for people to rediscover the magic of words,” explains Vincent Montalescot, Montblanc Chief Marketing Officer.

“It is very exciting to be teaming up with Montblanc as all of us at Letters Live are confident that by doing so we will be able to further our global ambitions for this venture that is so close to our hearts. We believe passionately in Letters Live and its ability to connect with diverse audiences around the world and to deliver powerful performances that leave an indelible mark on anyone who experiences them. Working closely with Montblanc will only add to the impact we can make and enhance the support we can give to charities,” says Jamie Byng, Canongate’s CEO and one of the Letters Live producers.
Benedict Cumberbatch, co-producer of Letters Live, adds, “This partnership between Letters Live and Montblanc is a perfect match and will enable Letters Live to grow in exciting ways as well as further support the charitable work that has always been at the heart of everything we do. Letters Live celebrates the timeless art of letter writing and its importance as a means of communication and expression, and Montblanc has been supporting letter writing for over a hundred years through manufacturing beautiful writing instruments that have inspired people to share their thoughts through the humble letter. The fit between Letters Live and Montblanc is almost too good to be true!”

The Royal Albert Hall, an iconic venue in the heart of London, provided the perfect backdrop for this celebration of creativity. To mark the occasion, Montblanc provided attendees with specially designed postcards, ready for performers and guests to capture the enchantment of the evening by crafting handwritten letters to their loved ones. These postcards were then deposited in Montblanc post boxes within the venue, ensuring a unique and memorable keepsake for both the writers and recipients.

To further foster an appreciation for the art of handwriting, the postcards featured a special QR code, allowing individuals to register for an exclusive calligraphy workshop series. This addition introduced an exciting dimension to the event, emphasizing the profound significance of the written word in an increasingly digital age.
