Noon By Noor launches its Resort 2022 Collection

Designers Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa of Noon By Noor announced the launch of their Resort 2022 Collection, citing surrealism, cubism and 60’s and 90’s black and white photography as sources of inspiration.

The season’s palette of blacks and whites with touches of pale grey and orange create simple, graphic and distinctive looks . Spots are a central motif, translated into prints and embroideries and in several shapes and textures: the seersucker spot; the felt spot and this season’s exclusive ikkat spot cut in a range of loungewear trousers, shorts, over shirts and kaftan dresses.

Continuing on the theme of graphic patterns, stripes are seen in varying strokes, directions and impact, from wide horizonal bands across artfully distressed knitwear to pale orange stripes on crushed cotton dresses and shirts, and contrasting diagonal stripe knitted coords.

“There is always an element of softness to balance the contradictions within our collections,” said Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa.

Lace dresses and shirts with tuxedo pleated bib front details continue Noon By Noor’s riff on masculine feminine dressing paired with narrow leg trousers. A mannish cut oversize coat in lightweight wool Melton is casually worn over a beaded tulle and organza dress. Wool crepe dresses detailed with techno taffeta ripples from the seams are cut like sweatshirts and transition easily from day to evening.  

“A woman asks more of her clothing nowadays, and she will find a lot of pieces that combine form with function from Noon By Noor’s latest collection,” said Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa.

Noon By Noor’s Resort 2022 campaign captured by Photographer Polly Brown focuses on six distinct dresses combining many of Noon By Noor’s signature design elements and playful, unexpected details.  Throughout, mirrorred surfaces and reflective materials are used to create a dreamscape that plays on the concept of duality and perceptions.

Noon By Noor is a luxury womenswear brand established in 2008 by Bahraini cousins Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa. In 2013, Noon By Noor became the first GCC-based fashion brand to be invited to NY Fashion Week where it continued to show. Today, Noon By Noor shows as part of the London Fashion Week calendar.
