A look at the fashion icons at the Met Gala 2024

Met Gala, the biggest fashion night, which takes place at the first Monday of May of every year was held at the evening of Monday, May 6.

All eyes were on the Metropolitan Museum of Art while the most famous celebrities were appearing on the red carpet with their stunning looks.

The Met Gala is one of the biggest celebrations of fashion and arts worldwide, and the Met Gala night is the opening of the Costume Institute's upcoming exhibition which is considered itself an annual event of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Gorgeous flowers were expected to adorn the looks of the Hollywood stars to honor the event theme "Garden of Time" which is different from the Exhibit's theme " Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion".

The event saw female stars wearing the most beautiful designs created by the most famous international designers and the most prestigious international fashion houses.

Maison Margiela has dressed the event co-chair hosts Zendaya and Bad Bunny, Gwendoline Christie who hosted the red-carpet live stream, and the guests Kim Kardashian and Adrien Brody.

Jennifer Lopez wore a custom Schiaparelli haute couture, while Nicole Kidman looked stunning in a custom Balenciaga gown.

Jennifer Lopez Wearing a Custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture:

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez stepped out in a beautiful custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture dress designed by Daniel Roseberry to co-chair the 2024 Met Gala. Jennifer Lopez wore a strapless sheath gown with vertiginous neckline, draped and slit at the front in illusion tulle, entirely embroidered with warm silver pearls and rhinestones. Over 2500000 silver foil bugles and beads and 800 hours of hand embroidery work were required to complete the look.

As for the original luxury creations designed by John Galliano and inspired by the "Garden of Time" book by the British author J.G. Ballard and the last artisanal collection of 2024.

Regarding the stunning look of Zendaya, she wowed in iridescent organza dress with a matching hand-painted headpiece in a form of hat from Maison Margiela in honor of the event theme of this year. The dress features a natural hand-painted details in emerald green and electric blue. With a custom Tabi pumps by Christian Louboutin for Maison Margiela.

Bad Bunny wearing Maison Margiela Artisanal:

John Galliano created a bespoke look for the co-chair host, Bad Bunny, who wore a suit of grosgrain lapels and red silk ribbon inseam. Bunny completed the look with a black leather gloves, dark-color silk socks and foam hat enveloped in midnight blue holding in his hand a black barathea flower bouquet. He was wearing also a custom Tabi boots made of black leather by Christian Louboutin for Maison Margiela.

For Gwendoline Christie, John Galliano created a custom look of a black silk tulle coat to be worn over a fiery red velvet dress with a Maison Margiela 5AC blood red bag and Tabi custom boots by Christian Louboutin for Maison Margiela.

Kim Kardashian wowed in a gorgeous look created by John Galliano. Consisting of a pale gray cashmere cardigan, corset rewoven from antique silver brocade fabric, and a tooled silver metal skirt trimmed with lace, flowers, leaves and intertwined branches.

Adrien Brody wearing Maison Margiela

Adrien Brody wore double-breasted suit with black grosgrain lapels from Maison Margiela Icons Collection, and he completed the look with white shirt and black leather Tabi Ties.

Kylie opted to appear in Garden Statute-inspired Oscar de la Renta look consisting of tight waist, rosewater and double-faced satin dress with an oversized sculptural skirt to honor the event's theme "Garden of Time".

Gigi Hadid Wearing Thom Browne Dress:

Gigi Hadid wowed in a white off-the-shoulder Thom Browne dress with a silk tiered gown decorated with 3D yellow flowers. This dress was made by more than 70 persons and took 13500 hours of hand work. This gown will live in the Thom Browne permanent archive after the Met Gala 2024 is over.

At the Met Gala 2024 Kendall Jenner went all out wearing a vintage McQueen gown for Givenchy Haute Couture Fall Collection in 1999. Appearing in this dress was the first public appearance of this piece in 25 years so she embraced by her beauty the theme of the event "Reawakening Fashion".
